I think I need to update the driver so that it can use the newest firmware. It appears that the lastest firmware i have is iwlwifi-7265D-13.ucode in /lib/firmware. I think the latest firmware is iwlwifi-7265D-21.ucode. I have an Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless AC 7265, REV=0x210 (which means 7265D according to ). Other PCs on the same network do not suffer this slowdown. My wireless connection seems to slow down from around 50Mbps to 3Mbps frequently.
